Walked into Sephora to look at their makeup brush selection on Saturday. Walked out with 0 brushes (they are hella expensive!) but 1 sparkly eye shadow/liner by LORAC (what does that stand for? why’s it all caps?) in Midnight Sparkle, cos at least it’s black so it’ll be more practical (than pink or blue or gold). Clearly I can’t be trusted to go into a store that sells sparkly things under nice lighting. Unless you’re trusting that I’ll be tempted by something and find a way to justify it (yeah ok, practical).

Also, seafood is good for lunch and dinner, and probably breakfast too. =) I should try that sometime.

  1. I got a coupla’ makeup brushes at Target. Not sure how good/bad they are yet since I haven’t used them. I might go to Ulta and get brushes there too. For a comparison. :P

  2. I think it’s founder Carol Shaw’s name spelled backwards, kinda like Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo productions or something. Dunno why it’s all in caps. :(

  3. the seafood omlette at ihop is gross. lol and yeah i went into sephora looking for that lip venom… i came out with $50 in eye make up and a eye lash curler made for azn eyes. lol

  4. dude, i still have that sephora gift card you and misa gave me about 3 years ago! i’ve only bought TWO things with it, and it was the same product (lip venom once, then again for a refill). :P

i think i still have enough for a third lip venom, but duuuuuuuuuuuuude… i still haven’t used the second one much, either! it’s prolly all crusted over by now. :D

  5. I just wanna add that in my defense, misa agreed that the black sparkly was practical. :)

And also if you find brushes you like for cheap or on sale (sale! what a great word) lemme know.

And also, thanks lcuivi, I shoulda figured that out! But I got all distracted cos it made me think of the Lorax. “I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees.” I love that book.

And yeah, Sephora is crazy. It is hella easy to go in and be tempted by things and spend more than you meant to. Which is why we thought you’d like the gift card. :)

  6. i do like sephora, too! which makes me lame, b/c i still have money on it! from a gift card y’alls got me about 3 years ago!! :P

  7. you can find really good make-up brushes for cheap at target!! i use them and they’re really soft… by sophia kushnik (i think that’s how you spell it). also- i can’t figure out how to post a comment on your other posts… so i just wanted to tell you that 1 of the new models on Top Model used to work at my company (her name is Melrose) & another one of them used to date a friend of mine (he works in MIS at my company)… don’t know her name, but she’s the one w/the really short, dark hair… ALSO- i really hope michael wins on Project Runway… i think he’s the best and most consistent!

  8. I didn’t realize the comments links weren’t showing! Oops! But I fixed it now, I think. If it doesn’t work, just click on the title of the post, should take you to the page where you can comment.

That’s cool with the knowing of the tv people. :) I hope the new season is good. I heard they haven’t even announced the prizes yet!

Michael is cool, but I have to admit, I liked Laura’s dress the best last time. I would wear that! :)

  9. I went out this weekend and got some brushes from Sonia Kashuk (sp?) from Target. :) Thanks for the rec, Julie.
Now to figure how what to do with them. :P

  10. those brushes from Target are well worth the money… er… wait… what I meant to say is… they’re very good for what you pay for them! =P

hey- we need to get together for dinner some time soon (btw)… we haven’t kept up with our “checking out new restaurant” thingy!!!!

  11. Those brushes are nice and soft. They tickle my pickle.
