Overheard

I was standing outside when I heard some college students talking about their plans for this weekend. It sounded like they were planning a party of some sort, cos one of them said, “… get some microbrews, and a couple of cheeses, some fruit, and maybe some wine…” And all I could think was, dang, microbrews?! diff cheeses, fruit, and wine too?! these kids are swanky! I don’t remember being that swanky back in the day. Maybe that’s cos I didn’t go to parties. :p

    Someone in my office said recently, he volunteered to help out with a Boy Scout picnic event. Guess what the kids requested for their dining pleasure? Sushi.
