I read this and thought it was so sweet!
Bill and Shelley met when he was 12 and she was 15 or so and they fell in love. Then they lost touch, but in the end they found one another again. It’s like a romance story, but real life. Their mental disabilities just weren’t important. Although I suppose in the romance novel, there’s always something keeping the couple apart, so it fits with my simile.
There’s such a ramp up to Valentine’s Day, and I don’t care about it, but I don’t hate it or anything. It’s fine, just sort of a whatevs holiday. I will say though, I wouldn’t go out to a restaurant on Valentine’s Day. Too crowded! And too many high expectations! And lots of “special” dinners with extra high prices.
Which reminds me:
The Oatmeal has the best comic about Valentine’s Day ever.
Happy Valentine’s Day! More sexy rumpus!
