Decaf 4 Life!
Tonight was the final for the NCAA basketball tournament. Unfortunately, the game sucked. Like seriously, Zzzzzzzzzz the whole way through. Final score was Florida 73, UCLA 57. So pathetic. Sadly, this tournament started out great, lots of close games, overtime, double overtime, upsets, etc, but by the final four, it was pathetic. The UCLA vs LSU and Florida vs George Mason games were neither of them even contested. And no, it wasn’t cos I had no points riding on the outcome (admittedly I was cheering for LSU, cos if LSU won, I woulda co-won the pool:p). Just boring.
The final scores, if you haven’t nodded off already just thinking about those last few games:p Yut was #1! (Congrats, you win a kiss and a winner’s handshake! :D) Kitty was last! (Congrats, I’ll remind you of this next year:D)
In other categories (which I just totally made up right now),
- Most Consistent goes to misa and yut (top 3 two years in a row!) and to Seth (bottom 3 two years in a row!)
- Most improved is CT who abandoned her The Sims name strategy (Charlotte all the way!) and moved up to 4th from tied for last.
- Most unimproved (what’s an antonym for improved? diminished? worsened? Most worsened?) has got to be Kitty, #2 last year, dead last this year.
- Everyone else (except me) was a noob, so I have no comparison. Although I guess Katie deserves a mention for coming out of nowhere to be 2nd:)
Next year, it’s Fear the Turtle! Gawd UMaryland better make it in. At least then when I pick ‘em to go too far it’s cos they’re the TERRAPINS! How cute is that? Actually UMd plays Duke in the final of the women’s tournament Tuesday evening, so there’s still hope!
Speaking of turtles, have y’all seen the ads for Comcast Cable service? Starring the Slowskys who are DSL users? OMG, that commercial totally backfired, for me at least, cos the Slowskys are CUTE! Where’s the fire? Decaf 4 life! Every time I see them, I’m like, “yeah! DSL r0x!” cos what’s not to love about the Slowskys?
The second one is better, if you must choose one.

I was supposed to go to an engagement party today at noon. We thought we’d set the alarm for like 10:30 and we’d be good to go in plenty of time, no prob. Well, ok, but not:p First, we forgot to turn the alarm ON, so setting it for 10:30 was useless. We woke up at 11:45 (which, wow:p) and we were all, SHIT! And then we started running around getting ready, trying to rush even though we were feeling so out of it. Yut went to print out driving instructions, and he noticed his computer telling him it was 12:45, so he checked time.gov and it really was 12:45! We’d totally forgotten about Daylight Savings! Thank God for his computress. So we decided we weren’t gonna be able to make it, but we couldn’t go back to sleep, so we went to In-N-Out instead. Duh! What do you do when you know you can’t make it in time to something, but you have a car? :p I dunno why all the people I talked to yesterday (hi CT and Cliff, you bastards) didn’t mention daylight savings to me. I mean, like I would know! I can’t keep track of time on a day by day hour by hour minute by minute (etc) basis.
Oh wait, speaking of Cliff, him and his wife just had a baby, so he has an excuse. CT on the other hand seemed to have just assumed that I would know or something. You know me better than that, CT:p Not helping me out here!!! zut buh leh mao:p

Ain’t he a cutie pie? We went to visit him last night for the first time ever. He is such a good baby! Well maybe he was on good company behavior:) Cos the labor and not-sleeping stories were v. scary!!! He’s being fed on a 3 hour feeding schedule, but it takes about 1½ hours to feed him and everything. But they both said it was worth it and etcetc and all I can say is … BRAINWASHED! Although he’s a cute baby, I can’t imagine getting less than 9 hours a day for over a week and being ok with it:p So yeah, they have a reason for not mentioning the time change — I’d be surprised if they have any clue about the time right now.
So anyhows, after the whole time thing messed us up today, we went shopping a little after lunch, didn’t buy much, then came home, returned the car, and took a nap (making up for the less than 8 hours of sleep we had, see? Need sleep!). Then we had hot pot for dinner, which yum! And easy! And we drank prosecco (Italian sparkling white wine) with dinner which if this post is hard to understand, it’s cos we just got done with the eating and drinking.

Normally I wouldn’t give wine recommendations cos I don’t actually know anything about it. But this one was ever so delicious! Quite quaffable, to say the least.
My Blog is Broken Again
This is like a monthly or biweekly event. So stuff that’s there will show, but I can’t add anything, and I don’t think comments work cos I tried to add one.
BUT! The cool news is, for once it’s DEFINITELY not my fault. Cos Rails 1.1 came out and the servers got upgraded, and my blog broke. I guess Typo and Rails 1.1 aren’t too happy with one another. At least I think this is why — I’m talking ’bout stuff that’s beyond me. So I’ll fix it when I can, if I can. Yeah, so have I mentioned about how I’m starting to think Typo and maybe Rails to some degree aren’t super ready for production? This definitely could be just me, not like I actually know what I’m talking about:p

So many upsets this weekend. George Mason is doing AMAZING. Which is great for them, not so great for me:p
Only misa and yut can get points any more. The rest of us are finished:p
Sweet Sixteen
We went to Beckett’s (a local Irish pub type place) for dinner and beer and watched the last minutes of Villanova vs. BC. It went into overtime! Great ending:) It was especially fun cos everytime someone made a score, or mistake we’d be reacting with “Ooooh!” or “Oh yes!” and we’d hear “YEAH!!!” or a groan or whatevers from someone or someones random. Was instant feedback! Good stuff:)

We also calculated the points in future games that are already lost cos the team you picked has been eliminated, the points still available, and the highest possible points you can possibly get. This means that Kitty’s sewn up last place! Sorry Seth and yb, nice try.
